The Chairman of the Energy and Petroleum Commission of the National Assembly Angel Rodriguez told the press that the National Electricity Corporation and other foremost sectors of society also participated in the initiative’s debate.
Rodriguez claimed the new bill complied with all legal and economic requirements to proceed to its first discussion, and also stated they are waiting for the leadership of the Parliament to set the date for discussion.
He commented this is a new energy matrix for Venezuela and will contribute to minimize the carbon dioxide emissions and other greenhouse gases derived from the fossil energies in force in Venezuela.
Once the bill turns into law, it will contribute to the generation of noteworthy sources of employment in the states where solar and wind energy can be harnessed.
