Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad said that the uniformed men are a source of pride, honor and dignity, and have proved that they are men of trust and guarantors of the present and future of the homeland.

In an address to the Armed Forces, the president stressed the army’s loyalty to the honorable history of struggle of the forefathers.

On this occasion, the high commanders visited the memorials of the martyrs where they laid floral wreaths, and visited the military hospitals to check on the health of the wounded.

During ceremonies and parades organized in the barracks and units, the officers ratified their determination to continue to fight until terrorism and the occupiers are expelled.

Since its foundation in August 1945, our army has shown great courage and professionalism in the defense of its land against the plans of domination and colonialism, they said.
