The exhibition brings together 35 large-scale works by Cuban, Venezuelan, and Bolivian artists to bring the culture of their respective countries to the Japanese public.
Painters Harold Lopez, Ilse Lara, Julio Escobar, Julio Linares, Kamyl Bullaudy, Miguel Guerra, Natalia Rondon, Roberto Gonzalez, and Sigrid Alvarez make up the list.
“This joint ALBA exhibition highlights aesthetic and artistic values as an authentic expression of our peoples,” Cuban Ambassador Miguel Angel Ramirez said.
Venezuelan Ambassador Seiko Ishikawa expressed his hope that visitors explore, through paintings, the beauty and profound messages embodied in each of them.
Natalia Salazar, in charge of the official Bolivian representation, pointed out that the works by her compatriots tell profound stories while promoting an enriching dialogue between Latin American and Japanese societies.
ALBA Vol. 3 “Libre” will be open to the public until August 4.
