Marrero´s tour began at the Meliá Hotel, in the seaside Ancón Peninsula resort, south of Sancti Spíritus province, where he managed to assess the hotel construction.
The brand-new project will have 401 standard and The level rooms, and has among its strengths to be a self-sufficient hotel, which evolves tourism development in the central part of Cuba.
Marrero praised the works done and made certain observations to improve the environment and access road in order to give the required personality to this facility.
When it is officially opened, it will represent a radical change in time, the past will be left behind and new offers, services and facilities will be reborn where benefits will reach the population, Marrero said.
He commented that the Meliá Trinidad Peninsula Hotel will serve as a link with other tourist resorts in central Cuba, the northern keys and even national destinations.
