The Office of the Ethiopian Head of Government reported that Ahmed and Pandor further debated on collaboration in science and technology education, as well as common regional and global development issues.
The South African FM -leading a delegation of senior officials, attended on Monday the 4th meeting of the Ethiopia-South Africa Joint Ministerial Commission, co-chaired by Ethiopian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Demeke Mekonen.
Ethiopia News Agency issued that Mekonnen recalled they signed several deals and memoranda of understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields including air service, health, tourism, as well as industry and technology, among others.
Ethiopian FM considered that they should double down on enhanced cooperation in trade, investment, exchange of knowledge and experience, people-to-people relations, in addition to regional and global collaboration important not only for the two countries but also for Africa as a whole.
This joint ministerial encounter will not only reflect bilateral cooperation but also discuss regional, continental and global issues of mutual interest, he underscored while reiterating Ethiopia’s desire to deepen relations and strategic partnership with South Africa.
