“Feminism has transformative demands seeking liberation from domination, equality and justice,” said FA Vice-President Verónica Piñeiro.

Piñeiro assured that the FA’s programs “have included central calls by the Uruguayan feminist movement” and have been a protagonist “in materializing these demands in public policies and rights”.

According to Piñeiro, the FA was pioneer in incorporating the gender perspective in departmental governments.
