Putin says that Russia stopped the Ukrainian counteroffensive

Saint Petersburg, Russia, Jul 30 (Prensa Latina) President Vladimir Putin declared today, prior to the naval parade on the occasion of the day of the Russian Fleet, that his country's army stopped and pushed back the Ukrainian troops wherever they tried to launch his counteroffensive.

“Now there are no actions as active as two days ago despite the fact that Ukraine’s losses are high. But this is due to the change in tactics. They bring in the personnel, land them, the equipment immediately leaves and the enemy military they attack on foot,” Putin told the TASS agency.

The Russian president pointed out that there were no strong changes in the area of the special military operation in recent days. “I think it’s because the enemy withdrew their assault units to restore their combat capabilities. They suffered a lot of personnel and equipment losses,” he said.

“I recently said that since June 4 they have lost 405 tanks, but today there are already 415 and another 1,300 armored vehicles of different types,” he specified, noting that two-thirds of the equipment lost by Ukraine would be Western-made.
