The largest political force in the South American nation recalled this Sunday in a message the sixth anniversary of the popular victory of July 30, 2017, when more than eight million Venezuelans went out to vote in a “heroic, free, peaceful and democratic day” for the National Constituent Assembly.
The text pointed out that, in the midst of a thousand difficulties imposed by fascism and the enemies of peace and national stability, the people victoriously fulfilled the role of defending democracy by bravely and courageously electing the new Legislative Power.
He stressed that this sought to guarantee the definitive peace in the Venezuelan homeland, which was conquered thanks to the strategic vision of the “Conductor of Victories, President Nicolás Maduro Moros.”
The PSUV meant this date generated a turning point in the construction of a road map to reconquer national peace, thanks to the victory obtained by millions of Venezuelans, whose democratic will “defeated the claims of the violent coup leaders of criminal fascism opponent”.
He pointed out they sought to prevent the free exercise of the vote, but they did not succeed and “they will never be able to do it”, with this brave people of men and women whom we remember with their gallantry and bravery, defeating all obstacles to be able to vote and exercise the democratic right to vote, he emphasized.
We honor, he stressed, those who on July 30 wrote the great history of the defense of peace, dignity and sovereignty in the Bolivarian Republic.
The official political force recalled the “dedicated, laborious, absolute dedication for love of the country” work of the entire team of the National Electoral Council, under the guidance of Tibisay Lucena, who directly faced attacks from opponents who tried to violate the free exercise and democratic people.
The Party paid tribute to the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, which carried out “an impeccable Republic Plan”, capable of efficiently meeting the challenges of an election day that “tried to be turned into an episode of violence in the country ”.
He praised the triumph of the civil-military union, the massive participation of more than eight million people and the popular victory against the violent opposition and its insurrectional plan, as well as the defeat inflicted on the US empire and its arrogant elite.
We repeat it, they have not been able to, nor will they be able to, with this brave people who remain in a civil-military union, stressed the message, signed by the first vice president of the PSUV, Diosdado Cabello.
