All 48 brigade members participated in the events on the 70th anniversary of the attack on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes garrisons in eastern Cuba.
Since their arrival in Cuba on July 14, they have had a busy agenda with workers from different sectors and members of the youth and student movements, as well as visits to centers of production and services.
Cuba’s third patrimonial village, the brigade members were welcomed on Friday by Denis Díaz, secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) in this territory, and Yulieski Cristo, vice president of the municipal government, as well as leaders of the Union of Young Communists (UJC) and the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).
During a tour of the city’s historic heart, where its inhabitants have been part of the conservation projects for more than five centuries, the visitors appreciated its architectural values.
The brigade members met with the population and expressed their solidarity with the Cuban people, and demanded the end of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States, an unfair policy against human rights, they pointed out.
According to the program, the brigade will return to Havana on Saturday after visiting the city of Cienfuegos.
