Friday’s report from the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) stated that no deaths or seriously or critically ill patients in intensive care units were reported in the country, so the total death toll remains at 8,530.
The two new cases were detected among 154 samples tested, totaling 14,381,345 tests.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic in March 2020, 1,115,062 Cubans have been infected with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.
MINSAP pointed out that by the end of July 28, 45,477,696 doses of Cuba’s Soberana 02, Soberana Plus, and Abdala homegrown vaccines had been administered nationwide, while 10,028,146 people had received a complete immunization scheme, accounting for 90.8 percent of the Cuban population.
