In a message on Twitter, the congressman wrote that such groups use the Liberal Party of Honduras to prevent the approval of the law initiative presented by President Xiomara Castro.
“Additionally, the Liberal Party has two representatives in the multiparty commission on the Tax Justice Law, at which they made their additional observations. There is no need for an alternative project,” he highlighted in another tweet.
According to Honduran authorities, the regulation seeks to eliminate corruption and prevent the use of tax regimes for personal benefits through evasion.
For two weeks the project was socialized among different sectors of the country and as a result of this approach more than 10 modifications were made, according to the commission in charge of the opinion in the Legislative power.
