UN Women Country Representative in Ethiopia Cecile Mukarubuga and the Director of Purpose Black Ethiopia Trading Share Company Fisseha Eshetu agreed on immediate steps to set the partnership that will contribute to improving women and men livelihoods.
Mukarubuga said a concrete partnership is the next step because they identified common ground. “We would especially like to involve women in the whole value chain; from production to market access,” she stated.
Purpose Black is an initiative launched in May 2020 through a collaborative effort by over 130 experts, while Share Company aims to economically solve some major issues closely related to farming community.
