In the message, sent to the Cuban embassy in Moscow, members of Venceremos movement cordially congratulated Cubans on the 70th anniversary of the attacks on Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks.

According to the text, a group of patriots led by Fidel Castro began the armed struggle against the Batista dictatorship in 1953.

“We wish you success in the socialist construction, constancy and courage in the opposition to aggressive imperialist policy and to the cruel, inhuman and genocidal economic, commercial and financial blockade,” the message read.

Finally, the letter, signed by the Political and Public Council of the Venceremos Movement, called to fight for peace and to keep solidarity with the Cuban government and people.
