Moscow, Jul 26 (Prensa Latina) Culture authorities from Russia and Brazil are discussing the possibility of reaching an agreement on joint film production, a communiqué from that portfolio in the Eurasian nation published today through its Telegram channel.

The information was released after a series of meetings of representatives from Moscow with their counterparts from the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa).

According to the note, a meeting of the working group on Culture will take place in August before the meeting of the Russian-Brazilian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation.

Outside the context of the VIII Meeting of BRICS Culture Ministers, held on Monday in South Africa, Russian Deputy Minister of Culture Andrei Malishev held bilateral exchanges with his counterparts from the rest of the member nations.

The statement said the Kremlin representative discussed with his Chinese counterpart about cooperation in the Eurasian Film Academy; and with those of India about joint work in the international platforms of the Group of Twenty (G20) and Unesco.

He also noted that with the deputy head of the South African Ministry of Culture, the conversation was about the exchange of experiences in the use of digital technologies for the preservation of cultural heritage.
