The greeting was addressed by the President of State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) to the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, the ACNC reported.

Jong Un stressed that the assaults on Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks, whose 70th anniversary is being celebrated today, was the first step in the armed struggle against the pro-American military tyranny waged by the Cuban revolutionaries under the command of comrade Fidel Castro.

He also pointed out that the revolutionary spirit, forged in the fight for freedom, defeated the imperialist domination and subjugation.

Such a spirit, he said, is today an ideo-spiritual source that stimulates the brotherly Cuban people to continue progressing in new victories, “courageously overcoming all kinds of hostile forces and multiple difficulties”.

Through the document, the DPRK leader also expressed his unwavering support and firm solidarity with the Cuban Party, government and people, who are steadfastly defending the homeland, revolution and socialism, thus continuing the fighting spirit of the martyrs.
