The Sandinista Executive pointed out, through a message, that the results of Sunday, July 23 express the political will of the Spanish citizens.
The commuication, signed by President Daniel Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo, also wished peace, welfare and prosperity to the Spanish people “in these difficult times the world is going through”.
According to the results of these elections, the PSOE was behind the Partido Popular (136 seats) and Alberto Núñez Feijóo did not achieve sufficient strength with the ultra-conservative organization Vox, and will not be able to govern.
Although the PSOE won 122 seats, well above the polls, which predicted between 113 and 118 seats, none of the parties achieved the absolute majority (176) for the formation of a government.
For this reason, as of Monday, an acting Government prevails in Spain and this is how all posts, President and Ministers, will be called until a consensus is reached on the two possibilities.
