Poudel’s foreign affairs expert Suresh Chalise told The Kathmandu Post that bilateral relations and mutual interests were discussed at Sunday’s meeting.
After that gathering, the Nepalese president stressed that his country and China maintained a historically good neighborhood relationship and assured that the high-level visits would help strengthen those ties.
Previously, Yuan Jiajun paid a courtesy call to Nepalese House of Representatives Speaker Devraj Ghimire to address several aspects of bilateral relations, an official text stated.
Ghimire reassured that such meetings reflect the importance China attaches to Nepal.
Following Chinese President Xi Jinping’s trip to Nepal in 2019, there have been continuous high-level visits to the South Asian country, the parliamentary leader said.
