The crowded pilgrimage takes place on Monday as the farewell to the official, 38, shot on Sunday. Hence, presidential candidates express their sorrow for what happened, some of them called off their campaign activities.

Otto Sonnenholzner, Jan Topic and Yaku Perez revealed they would make a pause to their campaign activities prior to the August 20 elections.

National Police updated there is one suspect in custody for the homicide. In the meantime, criticism of the government for not responding with effective actions to the security crisis in the national territory is growing.
