Witnesses blamed the Gran Grif gang that operates in the area and which in January killed seven policemen in the same locality.
In addition to homes, the gunmen also burned down the premises of Radio Antarctique and a pharmacy, while residents are calling for the intervention of state authorities, local press reported.
In the middle of this month, the same armed group opened fire on residents of the commune, resulting in five dead and several wounded. They also looted and set fire to several homes.
Videos circulating on social media showed bloodied bodies lying on the ground.
