According to the Ministry, the attack was carried out with precision and long-range naval and aerial weapons against “facilities where terrorist actions against Russia were being prepared with the use of unmanned vehicles and sites where these weapons were being manufactured in the area of the city of Odessa”, Sputnik news agency also reported.

Foreign mercenaries were present at the hit facilities, the Defense Ministry asserted, adding that all the assigned targets were hit.

Since July 17, Russia has continued to strike southern Ukrainian ports in retaliation for a marine drone attack on the Kerch Strait bridge in eastern Crimea.

On the night of June 16-17, a marine drone attack killed a married couple on the bridge, injured their teenage daughter, wrecked the roadway on a section of that structure connecting the peninsula to Russia’s Krasnodar region, and caused traffic to be suspended.
