During his stay, Gil will sign an agreement on the Reciprocal Promotion and Protection of Investments, known as Bilateral Investment Treaty, a bilateral agreement that will help establish, maintain and strengthen a legal framework to boost direct investments and foster harmonious, productive and sustainable development of both States.
Minister Gil reiterated the willingness of both nations to strengthen alliances in different areas including politics, defense, mining, energy, air and maritime transportation, diplomacy, economy, trade and finance, security, education, culture, science and technology, tourism, communication, agriculture, youth and sports, industry, fishing, aquaculture and health.
The Venezuelan Foreign Ministry recognizes that bilateral relations with Ankara is based on respect, cooperation and solidarity.
Türkiye served as bridge for Venezuela to evade illegitimate unilateral coercive measures and economic blockade imposed by the United States and its allies.
