Opening the 47th Meeting of Representatives and Working Groups of the Financial Action Task Force of Latin America (GAFILAT), Cortizo highlighted actions taken to cooperate in international financial and fiscal transparency matters.

According to Cortizo, Panama has set policies to prevent and crack down on money laundering, terrorism financing and mass destruction weapons elimination, in addition to strengthening regional cooperation.

In this regard, Cortizo stressed that GAFILAT has further facilitated to promote technical support for protecting the regional socioeconomic integrity.
