According to information published in their Facebook profile, the format originated in the Cuban province of Santiago de Cuba, in the eastern part of the country, will bring its rhythm and flavor to the event in Poland with La guarapachanga, a piece included in their latest album together with José Alberto El Canario.
Entitled Y sigo palante, the recording features collaborations with Cuban musicians Mayito Rivera, Alain Pérez, Rubén Leliebre, Waldo Mendoza, Maikel Dinza, David Álvarez and Pancho Amat, as well as the Conga de Los Hoyos and the baseball slugger Orestes Kindelán, among others.
Without betraying the original arrangements, the production compiles in a new package the hits during these 28 years of artistic career, which led them to perform on various stages, both nationally and abroad.
It is a very well thought-out album in which we mixed many ideas and suggestions to gather all our musical history, with the intention of adapting it to current sonorities and new technologies, Dewar said in a meeting with the press in Cuba.
According to its director, the phonogram is part of the Septeto’s 25th anniversary celebrations and is intended to be enjoyed and danced to by the public.
