Warning in Panama, heat up to 42 degrees thermal sensation

Panama City, Jul 29 (Prensa Latina) Still accustomed to the heat, Panamanians received with concern the warning of the Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology: the wind heat will reach up to 42 degrees Celsius.

According to the surveillance measure, until 19:00 local time this Thursday, the areas with the greatest impact of the new heat wave are the western provinces of Chiriqui, Veraguas, Los Santos, Herrera and Cocle.

The sweltering temperatures will also be felt in the territories of West Panama, Colon and Darien and the regions of Guna Yala and Embera Wounan.

In this regard, meteorologist Emanuel Velásquez indicated that the alert was issued also due to the moderate cloud cover prevailing in the country.

He indicated that throughout the day heat strokes will be generated among the population exposed to outdoor activities or with little ventilation in their environment.
