Al-Mekdad’s statements came during a meeting with Iranian Justice Minister Amin Hossein Rahimi at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in this capital.

The diplomat stressed Syria’s rejection of the policies and approaches by Western governments that violate international law by trying to subjugate other countries.

Rahimi noted his country’s support for Damascus and stressed the depth of bilateral relations and the need to coordinate a joint action to strengthen them in several fields.

Al-Mekdad and Rahimi discussed ways to further enhance cooperation and coordination to meet common challenges.
