In a phone conversation with Venezolana de Television news channel, Yvan Gil made a balance of such meeting and of the 3rd Summit of the European Union and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (EU-CELAC).
Gil pointed out that the first issue cleared up was the pernicious effect of sanctions imposed on Venezuela, assuring that he saw how “unanimously” the European Union (EU) and the Latin American and Caribbean countries requested to progress in eliminating sanctions.
The foreign minister added they would start working on the construction of a political dialogue among Venezuelans, who are the ones who must find the solution within the framework of the national Constitution.
He revealed that they noticed a “positive change” in the country’s perception of the need to get rid of illegal measures, “we can move towards an important growth” and be able to overcome the U.S. hindrances, and comply with Mexico’s social deal.
