The military spokesman stated that more than 340 Ukrainian military personnel, two tanks, three armored combat vehicles, four pickup trucks, one German-made Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled howitzer, two Polish-made Krab artillery units, one Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer, and two D-30 howitzers were eliminated during the fighting.
Russia has been conducting a special military operation in eastern Ukraine since February 24, 2022.
President Vladimir Putin stated that it aims to fulfill a request from the self-proclaimed Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics to protect the population of the Donbas region in southeast Ukraine.
During the military operation, Russian forces took control of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, which became part of the territory of the Russian Federation along with the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk Republics.
