In a statement issued by the Ministry of Information of the Polisario Front, it underlined that “such a decision is not an achievement for the occupying State of Morocco, but a clear condemnation of an alliance of two discordant states that militarily occupy Western Sahara and the Palestinian territories, respectively (…).”
According to the text spread by the Saharawi agency SPS, Morocco and Israel subjugate the nations with the same practices of oppression, “confiscating their internationally recognized rights to self-determination and independence.”
“Israel’s decision to recognize Moroccan sovereignty over Western Sahara has no legal nor political value (and) would only strengthen the determination of the Saharawi people to continue their liberation struggle on all fronts,” the source stated.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced Monday the recognition of Morocco’s sovereignty over Western Sahara.
