According to the Ministry, 17 drones were destroyed by the air defense, and the remaining 11 were eliminated using electronic warfare, thanks to which there were no casualties or destruction.

The governor of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksionov, reported the attack on Telegram and thanked the Russian military for its “rigorous and coordinated” work.

The event occurred the day after two seaborne drones attacked the bridge over the Kerch Strait connecting the eastern Crimean peninsula with the province of Krasnodar, Russia.

Russia described the attack as a terrorist one and accused Kiev of it. A married couple was killed and their daughter was seriously injured in the action, and the road in a section of the bridge was damaged, causing a temporary suspension of traffic in the middle of the summer holidays.
