During the meeting, the two heads of diplomacy, in addition to the deal that expired on July 17, also discussed the purchase from Russia of aircraft to extinguish forest fires, the Foreign Ministry stated on its official website.
Russia, which repeatedly postponed the deal on the Black Sea corridor for vessels carrying Ukrainian grain signed in July 2022, recalled that the deal’s items, such as removing obstacles to agricultural exports, were never fulfilled.
Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russia is ready to return to the deal, but only if the commitments concerning Moscow are implemented.
