Hill, who led the Salvadoran delegation to the 3rd Summit of Heads of State and Government of the European Union (EU) and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), explained to those attending the meeting that El Salvador has been undergoing a process of social transformation and development since 2019.
“We made a historic and unprecedented effort of political, economic and social transformation aimed at solving bravely the structural problems having held off the country’s progress,” the FM noted.
The diplomat called for a bi-regional dialogue and strengthening among nations, mainly in view of the challenges of the current social and economic context worldwide.
On Tuesday, she signed a memorandum of understanding with the head of European foreign policy, Josep Borrell, to address various issues, including the rule of law.
