According to the website www.giron.cu, the provincial director of Education Edilberto Casanova, the coming school year will resume its normal stage from September to July with 46 weeks of lessons and teaching breaks in December and April.
We will maintain the curricula with the adjustments applied during the pandemic, which will allow us to have more time to systematize, consolidate and review the same contents, he said.
Casanova explained that during the vacations, work will be done in facilities to improve material conditions.
At present, work is being carried out in 56 schools, but the number will increase in order to improve the conditions for students and personnel of the centers.
Regarding professional coverage, the official stated there is a deficit since the province is at 90.4 percent with a need for 96 educators, but he added they are working on the reinstatement of teachers in order to start the school year in better conditions.
The material to study will reach the institutions, not in the amount that some years ago were delivered but with the adjusted standards of recent periods, while bonuses to the initial years of each educational level will be delivered in August, he said.
