According to the newspaper, the legal norms approved the day before by the members of the Council of State are the Regulations of the Law on Penal Execution and the Special Social Security Regime for Cuban Citizens Appointed as Representatives of Foreign Commercial Representations in the Republic of Cuba.
The first one, presented by the President of the People’s Supreme Court, Rubén Remigio Ferro, is aimed at implementing the provisions of this law, in the course of the process of application of criminal sanctions, therapeutic post-criminal security measures, precautionary measures of provisional imprisonment and conditional dismissal.
According to the Parliament’s website, it refers to the mode and time of action of the subjects involved.
On the other hand, the second Decree-Law establishes a special social security regime aimed at protecting these citizens, with the exception of those who are subject to the general regime, the Minister of Labor and Social Security, Marta Elena Feitó, explained at the meeting.
Among other matters, the meeting also analyzed the draft law of the Military Penal Code, prior to its presentation and discussion by the deputies in the First Ordinary Period of Sessions of the X Legislature of the National Assembly of People’s Power (NAPP), which will be held from July 20 to 22.
Also approved during the session were the changes to the Regulations for the functioning of the Auxiliary Offices of the NAPP and the Council of State, as well as the plan of topics for the meetings of this body for the second half of the year, Granma reported.
