Parliament says attack on Crimean bridge will have consequences

London, Jul 17 (Prensa Latina) Kiev's recent attack on the Crimean bridge will cause a further intensification of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the chairman of the special committee on defense of the British Parliament, Tobias Ellwood, declared today.

In his opinion, what happened to the structure erected over the Kerch Strait indicates that the Ukrainian counteroffensive is in a new stage, according to local press.

The Russian National Anti-Terrorist Committee reported earlier that at least two people were killed and one minor was injured after a terrorist attack by Kiev with water drones on the bridge over the Kerch Strait.

Meanwhile, local authorities asked residents and tourists to refrain from traveling through the strait and to choose an alternative route.

Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, warned that the decision to attack the bridge was taken by Ukrainian officials and the Ukrainian military with the participation of the US and British intelligence services.
