They also discussed issues of bilateral interest at the meeting, held in the context of the III Summit of leaders of countries of the European Union and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (EU-CLACS).
Through specific projects such as the change in policy to confront the world drug problem, the focus on security in the region, migration and electrical interconnection, they agreed that Latin American and Caribbean integration should be consolidated.
In the area of drugs, they applauded Colombia’s call to discuss and promote a new approach, initially regional and projected at a global level.
In this regard, between September 7 and 9, a meeting will be held in Cali in which the countries of the region are expected to attend, so as to discuss the change in drug policy, according to the Colombian presidency.
