The report about the impact of the unilateral coercive measures on the Syrian people included lies and falsehoods whose main aim is to justify the unjust and hostile policies by some European Governments, the legislature stated.
The text noted that continuing the economic blockade is an internationally prohibited crime and punishment and demanded that its perpetrators be held accountable.
The text regretted that the European Parliament continues to adopt an approach to the prevailing situation in Syria that distances itself from neutrality and independence.
The Parliament concluded that if the European Parliament wants to be objective in its humanitarian perspective, it should condemn the plundering of Syria’s energy resources and agricultural wealth by US military forces illegally in this country.
