Cuban president meets with Venezuelan foreign minister

Brussels, Jul 16 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel and Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil met in this capital on Sunday in the framework of the 3rd Summit between the European Union and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (EU-Celac).

It is always pleasant to meet friends and allies of just causes, the head of Bolivarian diplomacy wrote on his Twitter account.

Gil considered it “an honor to greet” the Cuban president in Brussels, whom he acknowledged as a “great defender of the peoples’ sovereignty. United we are stronger!”

On Sunday, Venezuelan Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez arrived in Brussels, Belgium, to participate in the EU-Celac Summit, to be held on July 17 and 18.

A communiqué from the Bolivarian Republic on Tuesday resolutely supported the denunciations made by the Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez regarding the lack of transparency and the manipulative conduct of the European Union in the preparation of the 3rd EU-Celac Summit.

The Venezuelan Foreign Ministry noted that these actions seriously compromise the success of the meeting.
