The Hero of Labor and Doctor is a member of the Cuban delegation that will attend the summit at the Université Libre de Bruxelles on Monday and Tuesday. The event will take place in parallel to the 3rd Summit of Heads of State and Government of the European Union (EU) and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac).

Sánchez deemed it appropriate that she represents the Cuban scientists at the People’s Summit, where European, Latin American, and Caribbean social, trade union, and solidarity organizations will discuss building a better world along with progressive political forces.

The Center of Molecular Immunology’s researcher highlighted the Cuban scientists’ commitment to search for new therapies and products to fight diseases on humans, including cancer.
