The sources based in the town of Al-Jarubiyah said that a US convoy with 120 vehicles, including 35 tankers loaded with fuel, left the oil fields in the northeastern Hasakeh province and entered Iraq through the illegal Al-Walid crossing.

They added the convoy also included 65 covered trucks, some of which were carrying damaged war equipment, and 20 containers.

The caravan, like others before, was guarded by armed members of the so-called Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), an illegal formation financed and sponsored by the United States.

The Syrian Foreign Ministry recently condemned the tightening of looting and smuggling of the country’s natural resource.

Syria called for the US administration to stop playing the role of pirates and bandits, stop this looting and pay compensation to the Syrian people.
