The facility will be located in the eastern city of Tema and will operate at the end of this month. It is an investment from the Sento business group, which is negotiating with the Ministry of Energy the purchase of 500,000 barrels of Ghanaian oil for its initial production, the minister said.
According to the program, the facility, whose construction cost was 1.98 million dollars, will refine 4,260,000 tons of crude oil by 2025.
