Marrero criticized the slowness of these efforts during a meeting held with authorities of central and eastern provinces hard-hit by heavy rains in June, and from the western province of Pinar del Río, hit nine months ago by Hurricane Ian.
Despite progress in the recovery in Las Tunas and Holguín (east), the state of the work is slow in Granma, Santiago de Cuba (east), Camagüey (center) and Pinar del Río (west).
“This situation must be reversed immediately,” said Marrero, who suggested reviewing the work systems in each place and the population´s more active involvement.
