The exhibition, which shows passages of Fidel Castro’s life from 1952 to 2010, was inaugurated on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the UPEC, according to the official website of the Ministry of Culture of Cuba. As Honorary President of that organization, Tubal Paez was in charge of the opening speech and said that this kind of map summarizes seven decades of relationship between the historic leader of the Revolution and the press.
“It was the attachment to truth the promoter of an event such as the process initiated in January 1959 and that it was known worldwide,” he stressed.
According to Paez, “Moments with Fidel” portrays the young lawyer who confronted social evils from an early age.
The UPEC Honorary President underscored the high points of national history and referred to the chronological journey revealed by this exhibition, but from the point of view of journalism.
