The 12 members come from different Chilean regions and carry with them six suitcases of medicines, supplies and food, among other items, as explained by the team coordinator Leila Cárdenas.
For about two weeks, the brigade members will conduct a comprehensive program in Cuba which includes productive activities and visits to sites of historical, economic, social, scientific and cultural interest.
They will also participate in activities dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks.
It is very important for us to be able to show solidarity with the Cuban people who have been unjustly blockade by the United States for over 60 years, and also to share our experiences as Chileans,” said Daniela Parra.
Another brigade member, Jessica Romero, expressed her deep interest in familiarizing with Cuba, its people, and expressing them her solidarity.
