According to The Gleaner, participants will address a number of issues of interest to both regional organizations.
The report noted that one item on the agenda will be the discussion of the Bridgetown initiative, currently being promoted by Barbados to roll out a new financial order that will help provide capital in the form of concessions and grants to developing countries most vulnerable to global warming.
One of the objectives of the proposal is to prevent developing countries from spiraling into debt crises when their commitments are forced to increase due to successive disasters such as floods, droughts and storms.
