The platform urged for establishing an inclusive government of national unity and the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), expanding the High Transitional Council (HCT, in French), and deploying international troops to support the law enforcement in the confrontation of armed groups.
The CARICOM delegation arrived in Port-au-Prince on Wednesday and met with Prime Minister Ariel Henry.
The delegation, made up of three former Prime Ministers of the region: Kenny Anthony (St. Lucia), Perry Christie (Bahamas), Bruce Golding (Jamaica), as well as Ambassador Colin Granderson, aims to continue consultations started in Jamaica and discuss with the Government, political actors, representatives of civil society and the private sector the ways to implement the commitments made in Kingston.
