The 18 political parties are carrying out peaceful campaigns that include meetings with their supporters, home visits, concerts, videos projection and profiles on social networks, the National Electoral Council (NEC) said in a statement.
According to the report, corresponding to the first 10 days of the electoral campaign, the NEC has guaranteed all participating forces the same transmission time to promote their political programs on state radio and television.
Only two complaints were filed in Banteay Meanchey and Phnom Penh during that period, and both were solved, while 15 of the 18 participating parties organized mass processions.
The campaign for the seventh national elections in the Kingdom, to be held next July 23rd, began on July 1st and will last for three weeks.
Prior to the start of party activities, NEC member Dim Sovannarom spoke with all the parties involved about the need to maintain security and public order during any act that is carried out.
The NEC previously called on all political groups, candidates, and supporters to follow the laws and regulations established to guarantee the peaceful, fair, transparent, and fluid development of the campaign.
