The meeting ratified the excellent relations between Kinshasa and Brazzaville, which were described as fruitful by both parties, according to a report from the Presidency of the Republic.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Mbadu Phanzu highlighted the sentiments of friendship and cooperation that unite the two nations, which will be expressed at the 9th Francophonie Games, organized by the DRC.
The event is scheduled from July 28 to August 6 and is aimed at promoting youth and projecting the DRC on the international stage.
We hope it will strengthen the ties of fraternity and friendship of our two peoples, Deputy Minister Mbadu Phanzu stressed.
The games, however, are threatened by the withdrawal of several foreign delegations, due to insecurity at the venue.
The conflict with rebel armed forces in the east of the country is compounded by the situation of kidnappings in Kinshasa, the capital, which woke up on Thursday shocked by the assassination of former Minister of Transport and Roads of Communication and National Lawmaker Cherubin Okende.
