In statements to “Revista en Vivo” TV program, Rios recalled that the human rights issue never reached most of the population plunged into poverty and governmental abandonment during neoliberal governments.
She explained that when the Sandinista Executive returned to power before 2007, there was no policy for such rights, but they were massively violated.
“While many more people were left without access to education, health, work, a dignified life, and housing, a few had privileged access to those that should be the rights of the people,” she said.
