The search had been suspended since the end of June to complete autopsies and DNA tests on the victims awaiting identification. Authorities informed the new findings bring total toll to 350 corpses so far.
However, there are still horrors to be found, as there are at least 40 more mass burial sites to be dug up, according to a police report.
In addition to the horror, the outrage emerged at the beginning of April with the discovery in the Shakahola forest of several graves almost in the ground which turned out to be those of members of an apocalyptic cult promoted by the self-styled International Church of the Good News.
The creed’s pastor, former cab driver named Paul Mackenzie Nthenge, told his parishioners that in order to find the Messiah they must fast until they and their families starve to death.
Later testimonies revealed that Mackenzie hired thugs to club to death his followers who took too long to die.
