Delegations from Panama, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, and Nicaragua will also attend the meeting.
Óscar Barrantes of the Yamileth López Bolivarian Circle told Prensa Latina that representatives from Costa Rica would participate from the political, trade union, and popular organizations that make up the Movement of Solidarity with the Cuban People, the Committee and the Coordinating Committee of Solidarity with Cuba.
The Movement of Solidarity with Cuba consists of seven comrades from the trade union membership, the Yamileth López Bolivarian Circle, and independent and internationalist fighters. We bring proposals for the short, medium, and long-term development of solidarity with our beloved Cuban Revolution in the Central American region, Barrantes stated.
Our objectives include making a substantial contribution to the works of this Conclave of Solidarity with Cuba, which will have an influence in the general conglomerate of solidarity of Latin America, as the dream of Simón Bolívar, and “Our America,” as José Martí conceived; with the glorious Cuban people.
The Cuban Institute for Friendship with Peoples, the Latin American and Caribbean Network for Solidarity with Cuba and Fair Causes, and the Honduran Organization for Solidarity with Cuba are organizing the event, which will last until August 13.
